Job summary

ByteDance in San Jose is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to help design and build the AI Agent platform for the security team. You will work on framework selection, tool ecosystems, RAG pipelines, and cost management to enable scalable security applications.

You will partner with security stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions for operations, risk analysis, policy generation, automated analysis, and intelligent Q&A, while also developing a secure API gateway and data asset governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language (Go, C++, C, Rust, Java, Python, Node.js).
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to break down complex problems and propose practical solutions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Design and build foundational AI Agent platform components for the security team, including framework selection, tooling ecosystems, RAG, and cost management.
• Collaborate with security stakeholders to deliver AI Agent solutions for security operations, risk analysis, policy generation, automated analysis, and intelligent Q&A.
• Develop a secure, scalable API gateway and core platform services with access control, auditing, tenant isolation, and rate limiting.
• Create a data asset management platform with governance capabilities supporting engineering, legal, and compliance teams.
• Stay current with AI technologies and translate ideas into practical business applications.
