Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Security Analytics and Operations Manager focused on AI security governance in Phoenix. You will strengthen the safe use of AI, collaborate with security, risk and compliance teams, and drive remediation and governance improvements.

You will guide risk assessments, audits, and evidence collection while staying current with AI threats and governance practices to align with Schwab’s policies and responsible innovation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in technology operations or security operations
• 1+ years of experience supporting artificial intelligence or machine learning systems
• Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, governance, and security implications
• Experience applying cybersecurity, risk management, risk assessment, and analytical thinking to complex tech decisions
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration

• Inform risk-based decisions and drive remediation and exception-management activities

As a Security Analytics and Operations Manager focused on AI security governance, you will help strengthen the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence across Schwab. Working within the cybersecurity organization, you will support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of controls that address evolving AI-related risks.

You will collaborate with technology, security, risk, and compliance partners to evaluate adherence to security standards, inform risk-based decisions, and drive remediation and exception-management activities. Your analytical thinking, adaptability, and ability to solve complex problems will support risk assessments, audits, regulatory examinations, and evidence collection. By staying current with emerging threats and governance practices, you will help Schwab securely adopt AI capabilities while maintaining alignment with established policies, regulatory expectations, and the firm’s commitment to responsible innovation.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

• 1+ years of experience supporting artificial intelligence or machine learning systems
• Understanding of the artificial intelligence and machine learning lifecycle, technology governance, and related security implications
• Experience applying Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Risk Assessment, and Analytical Thinking to complex technology decisions
• Ability to demonstrate Leadership, Communication, and Cross-Functional Collaboration across technology, security, risk, and compliance teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with financial services regulations, risk frameworks, and Regulatory Compliance
• Experience with Data Governance, Cloud Services Management, or secure Software Development Life Cycle practices
• Experience supporting security controls, audits, regulatory examinations, remediation tracking, or exception-management processes
• Adaptability and a commitment to Continuous Learning as artificial intelligence technologies, threats, and governance practices evolve

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
