Job summary

Biogen, Inc. is seeking an AI Security Engineer to secure AI/ML workloads across development, training, and inference environments. You will design, implement, and operate advanced security controls to protect against prompt injections, data exposure, and model manipulation.

You will work across AWS/Azure OpenAI, SageMaker, and Databricks, building production-grade tooling, threat detection, and automated responses while translating AI threat frameworks into actionable defenses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years combined experience in cybersecurity, software, and/or AI/ML systems.
• Proficient in at least three AI/ML security topics (e.g., LLM security, prompt injection, model robustness).
• Proficient in at least three cloud security topics (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient in at least three application security topics (SDLC, API security, code review).
• Experience with enterprise security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AI threat detection and response capabilities.
• Secure AI development and deployment platforms (SageMaker, OpenAI, Databricks).
• Develop guardrails for generative AI usage, data protection, and access controls.
• Perform risk assessments using MITRE ATLAS, OWASP AI Top 10, and NIST AI RMF.
• Build AI-powered security tooling and integrations with security platforms.
