Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking an experienced Security Engineer focused on improving AI-adjacent security. You will deliver high-quality security assessments for AI tools and design technical guardrails that ensure safe AI usage across the enterprise.

This role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Thumbtack's security posture while enabling rapid AI adoption. Candidates should have 6+ years of relevant experience and expertise in modern security disciplines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering, enterprise security, application security, cloud security, or a related field.
• Experience developing threat models and proposing technical guardrails for AI tooling and agentic systems.
• Deep expertise in modern enterprise security disciplines including SSO, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, federation, SCIM.

Responsibilities

• Improve AI-adjacent security at Thumbtack, including agents, identities, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Deliver security assessments and threat models for AI tools and systems.
• Design and validate technical guardrails for AI usage.
