Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an AI Security Engineer in Round Rock, TX to join a fast-paced, agile team. You will design, test, and document software, analyze business needs, and prepare design documentation while evaluating security solutions.

You will mentor peers, work with IT and business leaders, and help shape testing, architecture, and development practices. On-site role with a focus on security and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps, Security tools, scans, and vulnerability remediation.
• Programming languages: Python/JavaScript, plus TypeScript/JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience with Cloud Native Container platforms like Kubernetes, KOB (Container on Base Metal), and Linux/Windows Server OS; ability to hook APIs, SSO/SAML, and connect enterprise systems.
• AI & ML familiarity with modern AI tools including LLMs, Agentic skills and workflows, Agent Looping, and Spec/Loop Driven Development.
• 10 to 12 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in defining strategic technical and architectural direction for programming.

As an AI Security Engineer, you will be a part of a team in a very fast-paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgment, and creative thinking.

Accountabilities

• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents software according to the systems quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions.
• Responsible for preparing design documentation.
• Prepares test data for unit, string, and parallel testing.
• Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
• Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Works with business and development teams to clarify requirements to ensure testability.
• Drafts, revises, and maintains test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
• Executes test procedures according to software requirements specifications.
• Logs defects and makes recommendations to address defects.
• Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
• Documents evolution of testing procedures for future replication.
• May conduct performance and scalability testing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating the strategic technical and architectural direction to the programming function.
• Serves as a point of contact between IT and key business users and senior leadership in defining IT solutions based on business needs.
• Drives changes in architecture, methodology, or programming procedures.
• Performs estimation efforts on the most complex projects and tracks progress.
• Obtains detailed specifications from business users and development to ascertain specific output information requirements.
• Prepares detailed plans for managing cross-testing team dependencies.
• Serves as the testing consultant to leaders in the IT organization and functional user groups.
• Mentors team members on all aspects of testing concepts.

Essential Requirements

• Experience with DevOps, Security tools, scans, and vulnerability remediation.
• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python/JavaScript, alongside TypeScript/JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience with Cloud Native Container platforms like Kubernetes, KOB (Container on Base Metal), and Linux/Windows Server Operating Systems. Ability to hook up APIs, handle single sign-on (SSO/SAML), and connect enterprise systems.
• AI & Machine Learning: Familiarity with modern AI tools, including LLMs, Agentic skills and workflows, Agent Looping, and Spec/Loop Driven Development.
• 10 to 12 years of experience.

Desirable Requirements

• 12 years of software development experience, including 3 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps in a professional role, with a bachelor's degree.
