Job summary

Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida, invites applications for an open-rank faculty role leading AI initiatives across basic, translational, and clinical research in Radiation Oncology. The successful candidate will advance a multidisciplinary heavy particle program integrating AI, radiobiology, imaging, and clinical data.

We seek an investigator who can mentor junior faculty and build collaborations across Mayo Clinic sites to transform patient care through precision

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in computational biology, artificial intelligence, radiation biology, biomedical engineering, or related discipline.
  • Evidence of scientific leadership and ability to build collaborative, multidisciplinary research programs.
  • Commitment to mentorship, education, and fostering an inclusive academic culture.
  • Preferred: research bridging AI with imaging, radiogenomics, radiobiology and clinical translation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI tools for heavy particle therapy research program.
  • Partner with cancer center to develop next-generation AI models for heavy particle therapy.
  • Create translational research programs integrating radiobiology, imaging, computational science, and clinical data.
  • Build collaborations and research infrastructure to translate innovations into clinical trials.
  • Mentor trainees and research staff in a collaborative environment.
