Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) is offering a Research Scientist Intern role within the PAR Trust & Safety team, focusing on pioneering AI security techniques across the full research lifecycle. Internships span twelve to twenty-four weeks.

You will gain hands-on experience with frontier AI models at scale, mentorship from leading researchers in AI cybersecurity, opportunities to publish, and contribute to the safety of AI systems used by billions of people.

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong publication record in AI safety, ML security, NLP or cybersecurity.
• Experience with large language models (training, fine-tuning, or evaluation).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Must have work authorization for employment in the country at hire.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on across the full research lifecycle to develop AI security techniques.
• Push frontier models safely by developing robust mitigations and evaluations.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to publish findings.
• Support mission-critical safety initiatives for Meta's products.
