Mercor is seeking STEM PhDs and technical domain experts for a remote, contract position focused on advancing AI research through expert data creation and model evaluation. You will contribute domain knowledge to state-of-the-art language models and collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality.

The role emphasizes independent, asynchronous work and delivering high-quality data and insights to inform future AI innovation. Compensation is hourly. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• PhD or advanced degree in Medicine / Healthcare, Statistics and Data Science, AI/ML Research, Computer Science, Game Development, or Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
• High attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $55–$80/hour
