Job summary

Meta Reality Labs is seeking Research Scientists to advance vision and multimodal perception. You will develop on-device models for image and video understanding and sensor fusion, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team across science and engineering.

Responsibilities include building and benchmarking new capabilities, training state-of-the-art methods, and working with large datasets and annotation tools. This role is based in Burlingame, CA, with competitive equity, bonus, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• PhD in AI Research or related field is preferred.
• Experience with deep learning, computer vision, robotics, or AI infrastructure.
• Experience with Python and PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Build models that can understand images and videos.
• Conduct research and work with efficient vision encoders and multimodal LLMs.
• Define, build and benchmark new capabilities for the next generation of AI.
• Train and optimize state-of-the-art ML and neural network methodologies.
• Work with large datasets and contribute to data annotation engines.
