IBM Software's Software Innovation Lab is seeking an AI Research Scientist Intern to contribute across the research lifecycle, advancing state-of-the-art agent architectures and domain-specific models for business processes, IT, and industrial automation. You will develop responsible AI systems and enterprise-grade benchmarks within a collaborative, open-innovation framework.

Qualifications

• Hands-on research in modern AI and systems areas such as foundation models and multimodal AI.
• Strong Python-based prototyping and experimentation.
• Ability to design and analyze rigorous experiments.
• Proven research communication through publications or preprints.
• Collaborative, reproducible research practices.
