Job summary

AMD is seeking a Technical Program Manager for AI Research in Santa Clara to drive execution across research scientists and infrastructure engineers advancing RL and large-scale experiments.

You will translate scientific agendas into executable plans with milestones, resource needs, evaluation standards, and clear landing criteria, coordinating across research, engineering, platform, and hardware teams to ensure reproducibility and impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must manage ambiguous, experiment-driven programs in AI/ML.
• Proven ability to translate research plans into actionable milestones and roadmaps.
• Excellent communication with researchers, engineers, directors, and executives.
• Experience coordinating across multiple AI teams, data, compute, and eval harnesses.
• Familiarity with RL, LLMs, and ML systems from a program perspective.

Responsibilities

• Own research program planning with quarterly and annual milestones.
• Coordinate execution across AI teams on datasets, compute, and landing criteria.
• Maintain operating cadence through milestone reviews and decision logs.
• Track progress with clear metrics: benchmark movement and reproducibility.
• Manage compute planning, GPU scheduling, and cross-team priorities.
