Job summary

Meta is seeking Research Interns for its AI Search research team in the United States. Interns will explore learning-to-improve workflows, memory and continual learning, and learning from imperfect feedback. The role emphasizes transfer of improvements to new tasks and a possible first-author submission at top ML/NLP venues.

Internships range from twelve to twenty‑four weeks with flexible start dates. Ideal candidates are Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or has a Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, ML, NLP, or related field.
• Strong foundation in ML/DL theory and practices.
• Experience with Python and ML toolchains.
• Publication record or conference presentations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on AI search research projects across the three directions.
• Develop experiments to improve search and reasoning workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer results into deployments.
• Prepare and present findings for internal reviews and venues such as NeurIPS/ICML/ACL.
