Job summary

Jump Trading Group seeks research scientists to apply machine learning to state-of-the-art capabilities across complex domains. You will drive end-to-end research from concept to production, improving model design, tooling, and infrastructure while collaborating with researchers, traders, and engineers.

You will work with Python, C++, CUDA, and other GPU languages, building scalable ML systems, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring production readiness.

Qualifications

• Strong publication record in top ML venues or open-source AI contributions.
• Strong ML background with modern deep learning techniques and language modeling.
• Solid development skills in Python and/or C++.
• Familiarity with ML libraries/frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, and/or TensorFlow.
• Intellectual curiosity, versatility, and originality with pragmatism.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to reason through quantitative problems and communicate with researchers.
• Reliable and predictable availability.

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art techniques to complex domains.
• Work with researchers and quants to build flexible ML frameworks for financial ML.
• Optimize training pipelines to utilize HPC resources effectively.
