The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites recent computer science or engineering graduates to join the Artificial Intelligence group within REDD. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Hands-on AI/ML research experience from university/lab/internship/capstone/project.
• Proficiency in Python with PyTorch.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance and ultimately Top Secret; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement experiments involving foundation models, agents, or autonomous systems.
• Develop research software and testbeds for GPU/HPC resources.
• Analyze results, communicate findings and contribute to publications.
• Translate open-ended research questions into prototype capabilities for national security.
