Job summary

EY is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Advanced Forward Engineering (AFE) team in the Office of the CTO. You will work in forward-deployed pods, partnering with delivery engineers and client stakeholders to integrate enterprise AI with legacy data environments.

You will own data readiness, design ingestion and transformation, ensure governance and security, and enable reliable AI workflows in regulated contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or analytics engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Experience integrating with relational databases, data warehouses, data lakes, or enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the data owner within an AFE delivery pod, ensuring data readiness.
• Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and access patterns for AI systems.
• Ensure data pipelines comply with governance, security, lineage, and access control requirements.
• Implement data interfaces and contracts for DS deployment templates.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Software Engineers to enable AI workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve data quality, schema drift, and integration issues.
• Contribute reusable data patterns back to the AFE integration core.
• Support validation, testing, and deployment activities across environments.
