The role blends prompt engineering, software development, cybersecurity research, and data engineering to evaluate AI technologies, build AI-driven security solutions, and create scalable frameworks for vulnerability discovery and attack surface management.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI prompts for production use cases.

• Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging AI technologies, models, and tools for offensive and defensive cybersecurity applications.
• Design, test, and optimize prompts for vulnerability discovery, security analysis, and attack surface intelligence use cases.
• Build AI harnesses, evaluation frameworks, and workflows to measure model performance, reliability, and accuracy.
• Develop backend integrations that connect AI outputs with enterprise data sources and databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Create repeatable methodologies for evaluating and comparing new AI tools and technologies.
• Develop AI-assisted workflows that analyze security findings from WAFs, vulnerability scanners, and attack surface management tools.
• Support research initiatives involving static code analysis, vulnerability identification, and security automation.
• Partner with cybersecurity engineers and researchers to operationalize AI-driven security capabilities.
• Build roadmaps and recommendations based on research findings and proof-of-concept results.
• Reduce false positives and improve trust in AI-generated security findings through validation and testing processes.

Position Overview

Our clients Attack Surface Intelligence (ASI) Team is building next-generation offensive and defensive AI capabilities to enhance cybersecurity operations. This role combines AI prompt engineering, software development, cybersecurity research, and data engineering to evaluate emerging AI technologies, develop AI-driven security solutions, and create scalable frameworks for vulnerability discovery and attack surface management.

The ideal candidate will be able to design and optimize prompts while also building the supporting infrastructure, workflows, databases, and evaluation frameworks required to operationalize AI solutions in a large enterprise security environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work on highly visible initiatives that support executive-level cybersecurity decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Research emerging AI technologies, models, and tools for offensive and defensive cybersecurity applications.
• Design, test, and optimize prompts for vulnerability discovery, security analysis, and attack surface intelligence use cases.
• Build AI harnesses, evaluation frameworks, and workflows to measure model performance, reliability, and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

AI / Engineering

• Experience building and testing AI prompts for production use cases.
• Experience developing AI harnesses, testing frameworks, or model evaluation platforms.
• Strong software engineering background with hands‑on development experience.
• Experience building backend workflows and integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

Programming

• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Go (Golang) preferred.
• Experience working with Elasticsearch or similar data platforms is a plus.

Cybersecurity

• Background in cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management, or attack surface management.
• Experience with web application security concepts and WAF technologies.
• Experience with security scanning, perimeter analysis, threat detection, or red team activities.
• Understanding of static application security testing (SAST) and vulnerability discovery methodologies.

Research

• Ability to independently research emerging technologies and develop recommendations.
• Experience creating frameworks and processes to evaluate new tools and technologies.
