Job summary

Mercor partners with a leading AI research organization to explore how people build with AI coding assistants. We seek builders with their own projects to work within OpenCode, a terminal-based coding assistant, while each session is recorded.

Compensation is $500 per accepted session, typically 2–3 hours of active work. Remote, flexible schedule, start immediately.

Qualifications

• Actively building a real project (side project, startup, app, or LLM-powered feature).
• Uses AI tools to build, such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Cline, Replit, or Lovable.
• Comfortable following simple terminal setup steps on Mac or Linux.
• Professional coding experience is welcome but not required; non-coders who build with AI are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Build or improve your own real project using the open-weight and Gemini models we provide.

Project Details

• Remote, flexible schedule
• $500 per accepted session (about 50 turns, typically 2–3 hours of active work)
• Start: immediate
