Qualifications

  • Experience with open source and private LLMs.
  • Experience using AI for scientific applications (genomics or image analytics).
  • Experience in bioinformatics or computational biology is a plus.
  • Experience developing best practices and standards for AI development and product support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to senior leaders.
  • Must be eligible to obtain NIH Public Trust suitability determination.

AI Product Lifecycle and Support Specialist. Bethesda, MD / Hybrid. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NIH Public Trust suitability determination.

Blu Omega is seeking an AI Product Lifecycle and Support Specialist to support a federal program focused on biomedical research. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for advising stakeholders on AI product evaluation, adoption, support, and lifecycle management across the NIH scientific community. The position requires experience supporting AI product lifecycle activities within a mission-driven environment.

Program Overview

Support NIH researchers in leveraging cloud and AI technologies to modernize biomedical research.

Key Details

Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite at NIH CIT; 3 days remote; candidate should be local to the Bethesda/DC area)

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proactive leader with ability to take on and shape potentially ambiguous tasks
  • Strong understanding of licensing and cost structures for AI products
  • Experience working cooperatively in a highly matrixed environment with multiple contracting companies
  • Experience in health and life sciences consulting supporting the U.S. Government
Compensation

Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $135,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
