Job summary

AlphaLife Sciences is seeking an experienced Senior Product Leader to define the vision and roadmap for AI-powered clinical documentation products. You will build and scale a high-performing PM team, collaborate with engineering and QA, and ensure delivery aligned with FDA/ICH standards.

You will own end-to-end product lifecycle across multiple lines, drive strategic decisions, and establish metrics that measure impact, while partnering with executives to shape company direction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management in B2B SaaS or AI-driven products.
• 3+ years in leadership roles and scaling teams.
• Strong understanding of AI/LLM-powered product development in real-world workflows.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical, clinical, or regulated industry workflows.
• Ability to define product strategy and deliver measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Team Building

• Define and own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered clinical documentation products aligned with company goals

• Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product management team; establish hiring, onboarding, and career development frameworks

• Define product management best practices and decision-making frameworks across the organization

• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO on product direction, validating assumptions through customer and market insights

Market & Customer Intelligence

• Develop deep expertise in clinical, regulatory, and medical writing workflows (e.g., Protocols, CSRs, IND/NDA modules)

• Build relationships with senior leaders in pharmaceutical companies, CROs, regulatory affairs, and medical writing teams

• Lead market research and customer discovery to identify unmet needs and product opportunities

Product Execution

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to delivery across multiple product lines

• Define prioritization frameworks balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, regulatory requirements, and business impact

• Write clear product requirements for AI-powered clinical documentation solutions informed by FDA/ICH standards

• Partner closely with Engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality execution

AI & Innovation

• Define strategy for generative AI/LLM applications in medical writing and clinical documentation

• Evaluate build vs buy vs partner decisions for AI capabilities

• Define success metrics for AI features, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and user value

Operational Excellence

• Drive release planning, sprint coordination, and execution quality across product teams

• Establish and report product KPIs to executive leadership

• Represent product function in executive and strategic planning discussions

Requirements

• 8+ years in product management in B2B SaaS or AI-driven products, including 3+ years in leadership roles

• Proven experience building and scaling product teams in high-growth environments

• Strong understanding of AI/LLM-powered product development and application in real-world workflows

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical, clinical, or regulated industry workflows (or ability to ramp quickly)

• Ability to define product strategy and deliver measurable business impact in complex environments

• Excellent communication skills for executive-level stakeholders; strong ability to operate in ambiguity

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience in clinical operations, medical writing, or regulatory affairs within life sciences

• Existing relationships with senior leaders at pharmaceutical companies
