Job summary

Lightning Labs is seeking an AI Product Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area, with remote consideration for strong candidates. You will move across the company to tackle high-leverage projects—from building developer demos to stand up MCP servers and shipping features across Terminal Web and LND.

The ideal candidate ships production-quality software, uses AI-native tools as part of daily workflows, and can quickly adapt to unfamiliar codebases while delivering working prototypes by week’s end.

Qualifications

• Build production-quality software with strong product instincts.
• Experience with full-stack development across TypeScript, React, Go, Python.
• Experience with AI-native development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver prototypes quickly across projects.
• Portfolio or projects demonstrating shipping software.

Responsibilities

• Build demos and developer experiences that show what's possible on Lightning.
• Automate and augment internal workflows by partnering across teams to reduce manual work.
• Ship features across products, including Terminal Web and LND, delivering production code when appropriate.
• Work autonomously with a bias toward action and prioritize impactful work across multiple priorities.
