Job summary

Singapore Research & Development Centre is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join the AutoCAD Engineering team. You will collaborate with product owners, software engineers, architects, and UX teams across the product lifecycle, applying automation and AI-assisted quality engineering to validate functionality, APIs, and customer workflows for AutoCAD family products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field with strong academics or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2 years of software development, testing, or quality engineering experience.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with one or more of C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants.
• Basic understanding of QA principles, testing methodologies, and SDLC practices.
• Familiarity with automated testing concepts and test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of OOP, design principles, patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Design test strategies, plans, and execute manual and automated tests.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for unit, functional, API, integration, and end-to-end validation.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks, tools, and testing infrastructure.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate software testing tasks and validate product features.
• Use AI tools to generate and improve test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Review AI-generated code, tests, and specs for quality and correctness.
• Engage in SDD, TDD, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Conduct API, performance, interoperability, and code-coverage testing.
• Investigate defects and drive root-cause analysis.
