Imagine Learning, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack/Backend Engineer to build scalable AI-powered education tools. You’ll design Python services, data pipelines, and secure AWS-based infrastructure, collaborating with product, research, and AI teams in a hybrid Boston-area setup.

You’ll work on APIs, data modeling, and system integration, shaping learning experiences at scale. A bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience is expected, along with strong backend and cloud engineering skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering skills, including designing HTTP APIs, service boundaries, authentication/authorization, error handling, asynchronous processing, and integration contracts.
• Proficiency in Python and building services/data processing workflows with testing, packaging, and dependencies.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modelling, SQL and data quality considerations.
• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM; IaC and CD practices.

Responsabilidades

• Build multimodal AI-backed backend services and APIs for education.
• Develop Python data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of education data.
• Design data models and persistency strategies across storage types.
• Build AWS cloud infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code and proper security and observability.
• Collaborate with product, research, frontend, and AI engineers to prototype and refine ideas.
