Job summary

KLA in Milpitas, CA seeks a Diagnostics Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain LabVIEW-based and multi-language software that diagnoses and calibrates reticle inspection platforms.

You will translate system requirements into software designs, prototypes, and test plans, and explore AI/ML techniques to improve diagnostics and data analysis. Collaboration with hardware teams is essential, with travel up to ~10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 4+ years of software development in multi-developer environments.
• Proficiency with Python, C++, or C#.
• Experience with AI/ML and generative AI tools in engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Experience in hardware-software interaction and system-level software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain LabVIEW-based and multi-language software for diagnosing and calibrating KLA's reticle inspection platforms.
• Translate system requirements into software designs, implementations, and test plans.
• Explore and apply AI/ML and generative-AI techniques to build applications and internal tools.
• Rapidly prototype AI-driven proofs-of-concept and mature promising ideas into production-ready tools.
• Collaborate with hardware, subsystem, system, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver integrated solutions.
