Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Solution Architect for application modernization. You will craft end-state architectures, lead cloud-native designs, and evangelize modern development practices. This role requires strong leadership, technical depth, and ability to translate complex concepts for executives and teams.

You will drive multi-year roadmaps, ensure security and compliance, and mentor junior architects while collaborating with federal customers and SMEs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of software architecture and development experience.
• 7+ years designing microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems at enterprise scale.
• 5+ years cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP) with containers and serverless.
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node, GraphQL, Java, Python, C#.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and multi-year modernization roadmap.
• Lead cloud-native architecture using microservices and API-first designs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership with prototyping and demos.
• Champion AI-assisted development tools to boost SDLC productivity.
• Evaluate technology options and integration platforms.
• Design API strategies and integration patterns with agency ecosystems.
• Enforce security architecture and federal compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).
• Collaborate with SRE to architect DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD.
