Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Business & Data Analyst to join the Intuitive Operations and Automation (IOA) practice. You will analyze business processes and data, use AI tools daily, and prepare executive-ready insights for clients in Chicago or nearby offices.

The role emphasizes hands-on AI-enabled analysis, mentorship, and exposure to enterprise clients from day one, with opportunities to grow technical and consulting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (recent grads welcome).
• Familiarity with Excel is required; exposure to Power BI or SQL is a plus.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to Python, Copilot Studio, or automation tools.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for schoolwork or projects.
• Ability to grasp business needs and assess impacts to complex operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, requirements, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Use AI tools daily to speed up research, analysis, and documentation.
• Perform data analysis using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and other analytics tools to generate insights.
• Build and refine prompts to improve AI-assisted work quality and consistency.
• Support design and adoption of Agentic AI solutions by documenting requirements and validating outcomes.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations, reports, maps, and business recommendations.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn new AI tools.
