Job summary

A non-profit focused on AI education is seeking a Director of Policy to engage with key stakeholders in Congress and the U.S. government. The role involves building relationships, managing meetings, and tracking AI policy developments. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience in policy roles and a strong network in government. The position is full-time with a salary range of $130,000 to $200,000. Work is based in Washington, DC or Berkeley, CA, with provided catered meals in the office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in policy or government affairs roles.
• Strong network of existing relationships across government and policy.
• Experience managing relationships with policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings with policymakers for software demos.
• Build bipartisan relationships with policymakers.
• Track and analyze developments in AI policy.
• Hone strategy for engaging policymakers.
• Identify trends for demonstrations and presentations.
• Represent CivAI at meetings and conferences.
• Maintain a significant DC presence.
