Job summary

Perplexity is seeking an intrepid Member of Technical Staff to assume a highly interdisciplinary engineering role spanning policy, law, operations, and corporate affairs. You will work directly with Perplexity's senior leadership to spearhead a broad portfolio of strategic technology initiatives across policy, law, operations, and corporate affairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering and engineering rigor.
• Interest or experience in policy, law, and corporate affairs.

Responsibilities

• Research high-stakes policy and regulatory issues using AI agents.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and IP attorneys to build platforms for harvesting and patenting inventions.
• Support high-tech litigation matters in U.S. federal court with the Legal team and outside counsel.
• Design privacy and compliance systems that scale with a growing AI product portfolio.
• Contribute to regulatory filings and responses requiring deep AI technology knowledge.
