Job summary

Factory Motor Parts Co is seeking an AI/Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate end-to-end AI systems. You will implement RAG pipelines on internal documents, create live-data agent workflows, and develop robust ELT processes with dbt models for analytics and AI consumption.

You’ll also deliver production automations with n8n, establish evaluation frameworks, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business problems into trustworthy AI solutions that drive daily

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in software, data, or AI engineering
• Strong Python and strong SQL
• Working experience with LLM APIs, prompt design, and structured outputs
• Demonstrated experience building a RAG pipeline end to end, including embeddings, vector search, and retrieval evaluation
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling, joins, and query performance
• Experience integrating systems through REST APIs and webhooks
• Version control and basic software engineering discipline, including code review and testing
• Clear written communication and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RAG pipelines over internal documents—chunking, embeddings, indexing, and hybrid retrieval
• Develop agent workflows and MCP tools for AI-governed, secure access to live business data
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines and dbt models for analytics and AI consumption
• Build production automations (n8n) connecting AI output to daily processes
• Create evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and cost controls to keep outputs trustworthy
• Partner with Merchandising, Pricing, Finance, Operations, HR, and Legal to translate business problems into working AI tools
