Job summary

Vallen Distribution is building a governed, production‑grade AI capability on an Azure‑first, Databricks‑centered architecture. This is not advisory — it is a hands‑on builder role with broad ownership across the AI stack.

The AI Platform Engineer will own the Databricks AI/ML platform layer, drive enterprise AI governance, review shadow AI solutions, and directly deliver automation use cases with business teams.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years hands‑on AI/ML engineering or data engineering experience.
• Hands‑on Databricks experience (MLflow, notebooks, Unity Catalog) or equivalent lakehouse.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, or API integration.
• Strong Python skills and ability to own delivery from prototype to production.

Responsibilities

• Own the Databricks AI/ML layer, feature stores, model registry, and prompt standards.
• Deliver 2–3 automation use cases per year with business teams; end-to-end delivery lifecycle.
• Review and govern internal AI tools; ensure data classification and risk controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to surface and prioritize automation opportunities.
