Axos Bank is hiring an AI Platform Engineer to engineer, operate, and govern AI and automation platforms across the bank. You will own enterprise platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across Dev/QA/UAT/Prod with strong collaboration with Infra, Security, and Identity teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, platform hardening, RBAC, and scalable governance to support a growing automation portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of platform or infrastructure engineering experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL administration including replication, HA, back-up/restore, PITR.
• Experience with Redis including Sentinel/Cluster and persistence configuration.
• Strong Linux, Docker/Kubernetes operations and container security practices.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and operate AI and automation platforms across environments.
• Tune platforms for performance, capacity and cost; plan upgrades with minimal impact.
• Integrate with Entra ID/OIDC, manage RBAC and secret lifecycle.
• Engineer PostgreSQL/Redis data tiers, backups, failover, and recovery.
• Develop runbooks, dashboards, alerts; own incident response and RCA.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows; govern platform standards and change control.

This is a hands-on, senior individual-contributor role spanning platform engineering, the supporting data and compute tier, reliability, and platform governance — applied across a growing portfolio of enterprise AI and automation platforms rather than any single product.The successful candidate is platform- and infrastructure-focused: equally comfortable deploying and hardening an enterprise platform, tuning a PostgreSQL cluster or Redis tier, and establishing the engineering standards and controls the platform estate runs under.
