Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to own the delivery, routing, and observability of EY’s AI-native platform across cloud, on‑prem, edge, and air‑gapped environments.

The role sits at the intersection of DevOps, MLOps, FinOps, and observability, requiring delivery pipelines, secure model execution, and comprehensive telemetry. Hybrid model with strong governance and cost controls is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in DevOps, MLOps, platform, or observability engineering with production ownership.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD/CV pipelines and GitOps tooling for automated ship/release.
• Hands-on expertise operating inference/model-serving frameworks on GPU infrastructure.
• Strong experience with observability stacks and OpenTelemetry integration.
• Experience with API gateways and request routing for streaming responses.
• Experience with cost management / FinOps tooling and quota enforcement.
• Familiarity with model/artifact registries and registry governance tools.
• Proven track record delivering AI/service infrastructure under compliance constraints.
• Ability to define ownership boundaries and consumption contracts with platform/trust/data teams.

Responsibilities

• Own DevOps and delivery for AI workloads: CI/CD/CV pipelines, automated build, test, and rollback.
• Own governance and discovery for AI assets and model metadata.
• Own resource and cost management, including quotas and attribution.
• Own the full observability stack: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and SLA alerts.
• Own OpenTelemetry collection layer and multi-tenant data routing.
• Automate GitOps-based delivery and embed quality and cost gates.
• Close the loop between delivery and observability to guide deployments.
• Ensure identity stamping of cost and telemetry per tenant.
