Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an AI Ops Engineer with an active Secret clearance to implement AI and automation in IT operations, improving monitoring, incident response, predictive analytics, and system reliability. The role is based in Arlington, VA, with a hybrid/remote arrangement.

The ideal candidate has extensive IT operations and cloud engineering experience, hands-on work with AIOps platforms, observability tools, and ITOM (ServiceNow) expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in infrastructure/cloud engineering.
• 5–10 years of hands-on IT operations and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with AIOps platforms for automating IT operations.
• Strong ML concepts and their IT applications.
• Experience with observability tools and ITOM.

This role is based in Arlington, VA, as a hybrid/remote position.

Responsibilities

• Deploy AI-driven monitoring and operational intelligence solutions.
• Develop automation for incident detection, response, and remediation.
• Analyze operational data to identify patterns and predict failures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 12+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in IT operations and cloud environments
• Proficiency with AIOps platforms for automating IT operations
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and their applications in IT
• Experience using observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, and New Relic
• Expertise in ServiceNow ITOM for IT operations management
• Advanced Python scripting skills for automation and data processing
• Proven ability in data analytics to drive operational insights
• Solid knowledge of cloud operations and best practices and automation frameworks

Clearance Required
