Apprenticely, in partnership with Overroute, seeks a rotational AI Operations Engineer Intern to join the team in Lowell, Arkansas. This three‑month internship places students with JB Hunt operators to gain hands‑on IT and AI experience under a mentor.
You will rotate through three tracks—Customer Success, Product, and Forward Deployed Engineering—working on real tasks, from onboarding and QA to data workflows and live deployments.

Our Apprenticely Internship Program is a three-month program that places selected candidates with employers across Arkansas in IT positions to gain experience under the guidance of a professional mentor/IT support team.Internships are designed as an on-ramp to an IT career and can roll into full-time positions based on employer demand.
Overroute is an AI-native freight operations platform, built out of a venture studio partnership with J.B. Hunt, one of the largest carriers in North America. Our agents are in production now: monitoring orders, scheduling deliveries, coordinating drivers, and resolving exceptions across a network that moves millions of loads a year. Interns work onsite at J.B. Hunt, directly with Overroute team members and next to the operators running it.
This is not a traditional internship with a pre-packaged summer project track. You will work directly on high-stakes, live workstreams across three core tracks:
We do not require a background in logistics. We hire students across Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Computer Science, and Engineering.
$15 - $15 an hour
How does the interview process work? Apprenticely will conduct an initial phone interview and assessment. Apprenticely will send selected resumes to companies that match the candidate’s skills and interests. Our employer partners will decide who to interview and select the final candidates for the internship program.
