Job summary

Tenex.AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Security Automation Engineer to own the integration layer between our AI agents and security platforms. You will deploy and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and EDR environments, and build production-grade software that connects them.

Reporting to Software Engineering, the role requires hands-on multi-vendor experience, strong Python skills, and the ability to design safe automation workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating multiple SIEM/SOAR/EDR platforms.
• Production Python services and APIs experience.
• Experience integrating with complex vendor APIs and auth, rate limits, retries.
• Proven ability to design safe automation with guardrails.
• End-to-end production ownership of a platform.

Responsibilities

• Operate SIEM/SOAR/EDR platforms across vendors (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, etc.).
• Build production Python services with APIs, tests, CI, and containers.
• Develop automated detection and response workflows with containment actions.
• Design and implement safety guardrails for automated responses.
• Own platform reliability and latency metrics; participate in on-call.
