Job summary

Mercor is hiring experienced music producers and audio engineers to evaluate generative music AI models, in partnership with a leading AI lab. The work requires evaluating AI-generated music in Hebrew and English to assess quality across genres and styles.

You will rate songs on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and mix, and label them by genre, structure, and instruments. Start date is immediate, duration up to 6 months, ~20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew and ability to follow written English instructions.
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
• Nice-to-have: formal training in music performance, theory, or composition.
• Nice-to-have: credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with Hebrew genres and artists.

Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
