Job summary

General Motors is seeking an AI/ML Technical Lead for advanced analytics. You will guide a team of data scientists, develop ML solutions, and lead ML Ops in cloud environments, focusing on telematics data and the Voice of the Vehicle.

The role requires deep expertise in AI/ML, strong communication, and a proactive learning mindset. Remote-based with possible in-person collaboration across GM hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in machine learning, engineering, data science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for new AI/ML solutions with business partners.
• Train new machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
• Prototype new AI solutions, including Generative AI, to solve business problems.
• Use telematics data in AI/ML solutions to give an early and more complete view of potential safety issues.
• Build and maintain data pipelines; perform testing and validation of data sets.
• Provide guidance on business problems using statistical methods and craft ad-hoc reports.
