Job summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is seeking a Software Applications Developer III – AI/ML to lead software projects for the Autonomy Research Institute. You will supervise junior developers, mentor students, and deliver AI/ML-enabled web and server-side solutions supporting UAS.

The role requires a strong background in C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript, and AI/ML model development, plus experience guiding architecture, code reviews, and deployment in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or applicable field.
• Five (5) years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Proficiency in AI/ML model development using Python and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with full-stack web development using C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST APIs.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control workflows.
• Ability to lead software or AI/ML development efforts and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, debug, test, deploy, and maintain C#/.NET, JavaScript, Python web-based and server-side applications.
• Train, test, evaluate, and optimize AI/ML models for production environments; integrate components into systems.
• Provide technical oversight, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior developers and student workers; provide guidance on AI/ML practices.
