Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers for the Search team who will design, implement, and maintain high-quality code that mitigates security risks and scales to billions of users. You will contribute through design documents, thorough testing, code reviews, and debugging while aligning work with quarterly objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
• 1 year of experience with one or more: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML field.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
• Experience in system design, architecture, and large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software focused on security risks within Search.
• Contribute to codebase with design docs, well-tested code, code reviews, and debugging.
• Translate high-level goals into actionable tasks aligned with OKRs in team planning.
• Collaborate with engineers, TPMs, and stakeholders to deliver milestones and progress updates.
• Foster a collaborative environment by communicating effectively and supporting peers.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields
