Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III for AI/ML within Google Cloud AI Research. The role centers on developing and maintaining code for ML-powered enhancements across a suite of products used by billions. You will collaborate on design reviews, produce documentation, and tackle ML deployment and data processing challenges.

Ideal candidates have a BS or equivalent, 2+ years in Python or C++, and 1+ year in ML domains or ML infra. Master’s/PhD and RL experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of Python or C++ programming experience.
• 1+ year in ML areas such as speech/audio tech or RL.
• 1+ year with ML infrastructure including deployment and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain code for product or system enhancements with quality standards.
• Engage in design and code reviews with team members and stakeholders.
• Create and update documentation and educational materials.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting hardware, network, or service quality.
• Implement ML solutions using ML infrastructure for optimization and data processing.
