Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience in RL, sequential decision-making, or simulation-based optimization.
• Experience developing optimization algorithms or digital twin/simulation environments.
• Strong programming in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
• Experience translating complex operational problems into scalable AI-driven solutions.
• Strong communication and research record (publications, patents, or applied projects).

Responsibilities

• Design RL, simulation, and optimization algorithms for Operational Twinning in healthcare.
• Build intelligent decision-making systems for scheduling, patient flow, and resource utilization.
• Develop AI-driven simulation environments representing real-world clinical workflows.
• Conduct original research in RL, sequential decision-making, and combinatorial optimization.
• Translate large healthcare datasets into optimization and policy-learning solutions.
• Prototype, evaluate, and validate novel approaches for feasibility and scalability.
• Collaborate to integrate optimization and simulation into Siemens Healthineers platforms.
• Publish research and contribute to patents; stay updated on RL, world models, and AI simulations.
