Job summary

AfterQuery is a research lab exploring the boundaries of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation. We are building a cohort of senior experts in ML inference and GPU kernel engineering to evaluate frontier AI models on hard, real-world problems.

This is research-and-evaluation work, not production engineering. We seek candidates with 6–10 years of experience and a PhD/Doctorate or a strong Masters with a notable research record.

Qualifications

• Active in ML inference and GPU kernel engineering with hands-on work.
• PhD/Doctorate or Master's with strong research record.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic technical scenarios and problem sets within your track.
• Author expert-level reference solutions and grading rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, depth, and domain judgment.
