Akina, Inc. in Maryland is seeking an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer 2 with strong Python, TensorFlow and PyTorch skills to design, test and productize AI/ML models aligned with business goals.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, experience in model architecture, data pipelines and performance metrics, and the ability to lead dispersed teams as needed. On-site in Annapolis Junction, MD with comprehensive compensation.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in applied machine learning in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in advanced math, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science or deep learning from an accredited college or university.
• Five additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant Bachelor's degree may be substituted for a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms to solve business challenges.
• Ensure models learn and make predictions aligned with business logic.
• Lead data pipeline interaction, model architecture, and metrics interpretation and presentation.
• Perform statistical analysis and run ML algorithms to improve models.
• Oversee validation, testing protocols, and system integration for AI/ML solutions.
