Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC in Herndon, VA is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join a team building enterprise-scale data systems and AI-enabled web services. You will work on high-performance distributed software for petabyte-scale data and real-time analytics.

Ideal candidates have 4-6+ years backend Python/Java, 4-6 years frontend Angular, 6-8 years AWS architecture, Linux expertise, and experience with ETL, search tools, and containerization. TS/SCI with polygraph preferred for access.

Qualifications

• : 4-6 years backend development; Python and Java proficiency.
• : 4-6 years frontend development like Angular.
• : 6-8 years AWS Architecture design proficiency.
• : 6-8 years Linux - shell scripting and system checks.
• : 2-3 years AI/ML development and data science understanding.
• : 6-8 years Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• : 6-8 years experience with search & analytic tools (ElasticSearch, Solr/Lucene, OpenSearch).
• minimum 6-8 years microservices and containerization (Docker/Podman).
• Object Oriented programming experience; Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• : Integrating AI/ML technology into a production web application.
• : Designing, developing and unit testing code for a production system.
• : Developing rapid prototypes to drive requirements and design.
• : Providing demonstrations and walkthroughs of features to technical and non-technical audiences.
• : Working with stakeholders to translate requirements into software tasks.
• : Writing technical documentation for workflows, integrations and compliance.
