Houston-based robotics and intelligent vehicle systems organization seeks an AI/ML Engineer to design and deploy machine learning solutions that leverage multi-sensor time-series data to enhance system performance and autonomy.

Responsibilities include data pipelines, model prototyping with PyTorch/TensorFlow, and collaboration with embedded teams to optimise models for constrained hardware. Proficiency in C++ and Python is required, with ROS knowledge a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing machine learning solutions for time-series, sensor, or signal-processing applications.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience working with real-world sensor data in robotics, automotive, industrial automation, IoT, or similar environments.
• Familiarity with data science tools including NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop machine learning models for multi-sensor time-series data, including signals from cameras, GPS, IMUs, joint states, motors, and vehicle systems.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, and labelling.
• Prototype and train models using Python and modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Partner with embedded software engineers to optimise and deploy models in resource-constrained environments.
• Develop high-performance production solutions in C++.
• Evaluate model performance, improve accuracy, and enhance robustness across multiple applications and platforms.
• Collaborate closely with robotics, controls, and software engineering teams to deliver practical AI solutions.
• Create tools, visualisations, and dashboards to support data interpretation and system monitoring.
• Maintain thorough documentation of datasets, experiments, models, and results.
