Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our silicon design team in Santa Clara, CA.

You will apply AI/ML techniques to SOC design, build end-to-end solutions from concept to implementation, and help drive improvements in PPA, efficiency, and quality for state-of-the-art ASICs. In this role, you will collaborate across disciplines to bring groundbreaking ML insights into circuit design, verify performance, and enable rapid iterations while aligning with ROI metrics and project

Qualifications

• MS and a minimum of 3 years of VLSI industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital circuit behavior, PPA tradeoffs, timing, power and noise modeling.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to improve PPA and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Apply AI/ML techniques to circuit design analysis, characterization, QA and silicon debug.
• Explore areas in custom circuit design and identify initiatives to apply AI technologies.
• Define the goal and spec for each initiative and provide end-to-end solutions from ideas to implementation.
• Benchmark ROI with measurable metrics: improved designs, higher efficiency, better quality control, faster turnaround time.

• Play a strategic role of applying AI/machine-learning techniques to your (and colleagues’) daily work, including circuit design analysis, characterization, QA, and silicon debug.
• Explore areas in custom circuit design and identify initiatives to apply AI technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of digital circuit behavior, PPA tradeoffs, and timing/power/noise modeling
• Experience of using AI/ML techniques to achieve better PPA of circuit design, higher workflow efficiency, and better quality in deliveries

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
