Randstad Digital Americas in Glendale, Wisconsin seeks a Senior AI/ML Engineer to build AI-powered product capabilities and elevate AI engineering across the Controls Software organization. You will influence product strategy, architecture, and engineering excellence while collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and product leaders.

The contract role requires 7+ years of software experience and 5+ years in ML, with expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with modern development practices.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions.
• Experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience building Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong software architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and production deployment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models and GenAI capabilities across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments.
• Develop LLM-powered features, including operator copilots, intelligent alarm analysis, and automated recommendations.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing smart products and platforms.
• Develop scalable inference and deployment architectures for production AI workloads.
• Partner with software engineering and product teams to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance, reliability, and accuracy.
• Identify AI-assisted developer tools to improve software delivery velocity.
• Leverage AI to enhance code generation, software testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Establish AI engineering best practices, standards, and governance across teams.
• Mentor engineers on AI technologies, frameworks, and implementation strategies.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies and recommend opportunities for adoption.
• Drive responsible and practical use of AI throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in modern development practices.

5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions.

Experience with Python and common AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.

Experience building and integrating Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and production deployment practices.
