Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an entry-level AI Machine Learning Engineer to support the development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML solutions that enhance business capabilities. This role offers hands-on experience with data and models while building foundational knowledge in AI engineering practices.

Qualifications

The AI Machine Learning Engineer supports the development, testing, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions that enhance business capabilities. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience working with data and models while building foundational knowledge in AI engineering practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist in designing, developing, and testing machine learning models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, and recommendations.
• Support preprocessing and basic analysis of datasets using standard data tools.
• Work with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to help integrate models into production systems.
• Assist with experiments and model evaluations, documenting results for senior team members.
• Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML research and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

SUCCESSFUL CHARACTERISTICS / SKILLS

Experience & Background

• 1-2 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or software development (internship or academic projects acceptable).

Core Technical Proficiency

• Familiarity with Python and major ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Basic knowledge of data manipulation and visualization tools.
• Broad understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms.

MLOps & Deployment

• Awareness of MLOps practices and tools, such as version control, containerization, or model monitoring.

Advanced Methods

• Foundational understanding of deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision concepts.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and take initiative on assigned tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with eagerness to learn and grow.
• Ability to clearly document and communicate findings.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Azure AI Fundamentals or similar entry‑level certification (preferred).

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $102,800 - $176,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
