Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Security Engineer within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization to shape AI/ML security architecture and deliver enterprise-grade solutions in an agile environment.

You will drive security design across cloud and on-premises systems, mentor teammates, and advance threat modeling, secure coding, and CI/CD practices to defend critical platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on AI security engineering and architecture concepts with 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on coding experience in a software engineering role
• Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
• Advanced in one or more programming languages
• Advanced knowledge of software development and technical processes with cloud/AI/ML focus
• Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal supervision
• Practical cloud native experience

• Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability

As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorganChase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization, you are an integral part of an agile team focused on AI/ML Security Architecture that works to deliver solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of AI/ML cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technology domains.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Formal training or certification on AI security engineering and architecture concepts with 5+ years applied experience
• This is a software engineering role that requires hands-on coding experience
• Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
• Advanced in one or more programming languages
• Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Practical cloud native experience

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• 3+ years experience in software engineering, and 1+ year experience in product security
• Experience working with either SCA, SAST, or DAST tooling
• Experience building security in CI/CD workflows
