Job summary

The Squires Group, Inc. is seeking an AI Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure AWS infrastructure and AI/ML integrations, including Bedrock connections and Terraform modules.

You will build reusable infrastructure, manage Artifactory artifacts, and implement cost and usage observability across AWS environments, supporting government-grade security standards. The role requires U.S. citizenship and an active TOP SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance and Security+ certification.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Hands-on Terraform and AWS Bedrock experience.
• Experience distributing versioned infra via Artifactory.
• Experience deploying models with Bedrock Custom Model Import.

Responsibilities

• Define IAM roles, VPC endpoints, Knowledge Bases, and Guardrails as reusable, version-controlled Terraform modules.
• Version, manage, and distribute reusable infrastructure artifacts, including Terraform modules, container images, and Lambda packages, through Artifactory.
• Build and deploy connector infrastructure, including MCP servers and Lambda-based integrations, connecting Amazon Bedrock to internal APIs, databases, and ticketing systems.
• Host, version, and maintain connector services as production infrastructure alongside other application services.
• Deploy custom and fine-tuned models using Amazon Bedrock Custom Model Import and Provisioned Throughput.
• Evaluate cost and commitment tradeoffs associated with Provisioned Throughput and custom model deployments.
• Build cost and usage observability capabilities to track spend by model and developer and implement budget alerts to prevent uncontrolled cost growth.
• Support secure cloud modernization efforts for applications supporting background investigation operations.
• Develop infrastructure and deployment processes that promote consistency and reproducibility across development, test, and production environments.
