Job summary

Penn State Harrisburg is seeking an experienced Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR), AI & Health Innovation to support the Lambert Center for Innovation and the College’s growing research and innovation portfolio.

The EIR will mentor faculty, researchers, students, and startup teams on market validation, licensing pathways, and partnerships, with focus on AI and healthcare. Responsibilities include evaluating research for practical pathways to commercialization and bridging to industry partners.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in entrepreneurship or related fields.
• Experience in AI, healthcare, or medical technology preferred.
• Strong mentoring, communication, networking and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor faculty, researchers, students, and startup teams on commercialization strategies.
• Evaluate research for licensing, startup formation or industry partnerships.
• Focus on a small portfolio of high-potential projects in AI and health.
• Build connections with industry partners, healthcare organizations and investors.
• Advise leadership on market trends and opportunities for the innovation ecosystem.
